I have a wife and 2 children, and we live in Bowie, MD., my Dad just died and we are being evicted out of the house that my mother has been foreclosed upon by Bank of America, we have made several attempts and offers to the bank to somehow make things right so I can keep a roof over my kids head, they told my Mom that she was eligible for a loan modification, and in the process of acquiring the modification the bank continued with the eviction, and now they claim "it's too late, and we have to get out". My kids go to Bowie high school, and they make good grades, we have nowhere to go and this is totally devastating and ripping my family apart. The bank has now taken the property back and had an appraiser to value the house at 276000, they have scheduled an eviction for this week and we need emergency assistance to move into another house right now I guess, unless someone can help or intervene and save us from getting evicted, and work something out so we won't have to move. If that doesn't work out I am asking for help to immediately move into another house in the Bowie area so my kids will not miss school and run the risk of failing. I have a job, but according to Bank of America they will not give me a mortgage loan do to my credit score. All I am asking for is a chance to stay in the house that we live in and not be evicted, or obtain some type of emergency assistance to move into a sizable enough property to accomodate all of our things that we have worked so hard over the years to get. I work very hard, and I'm not one to ask for a handout but I have found myself in a situation that I could not have ever imagined that has me extremely worried about the future well being of my family. I can't hardly keep food in the refrigerator, let alone to even think about trying to survive after being "put on the street" with a family. I do not deserve this, and neither does my family, so if anyone can help me, please give me a call at 562-712-1001.
i wwish I had some money too catch up with all the money I owe. Im over 10.000 dollars in dept., i just hade a water line at my house break that cost a lot of money. I dont have a whole lot of money too buy food.if i had 15,000 dollars I could live again
Well, I have hoped someone would read of my plight and would respond favorably as many on here are hoping. It seems to me that this website has very few givers and many people in need. The desperation of those in need is palpable and this web site should be read by every politician in America to truly get the sense of urgency of those in need. I wish I could have been a recipient of some financial angel's generosity and had a nice story to tell. As of now, the mortgage has been missed, SPAM and ramen noodles has become a staple, and planning any trips for groceries is based upon the amount of gas it requires. I am hoping that I will continue to earn enough to pay the electricty to maintain the heat during the winter and food.

Hey everyone I just want to start off saying 17 so this is why I don't have a job I had a summer job but it was just temporary and to help me get clothes for school. My mom every year struggles to get everyone a present, shes a realtor so of course you can see why she isn't making as much money as she should cus the market changes everyday. Well straight to the point every year she doesn't have enough money for gifts just for food, and paying the bills which I am more than grateful for but when i was the age of my younger sister and brother I would receive so many gifts from her and to see them not even get a single gift me and my mom cry every year and I try to cheer her up. Now i'm not saying how can i get money quick three days before christmas but is there anything you can think of that i can do to take their minds off of gifts like fun games to play, or watch movies. My mom has four kids I'm the second oldest, and now her brother who has 3 kids is living with us after the kids were abused by his new wife, along with her boyfriend and her aunt so you can only imagine how many of them are going to be disappointed christmas morning.... I just want everyone to have a smile on their face.

in response to christmas spirit...Hello, I am applying for a friend and past co-worker of mine. I am a social worker who normally helps people in these type of situations but have also been through tough times. The non-profit family support agency I worked for had major budget cuts and I lost my job. I have been struggling myself, but am still helping past clients and friends with my knowledge of community programs and such. Yesterday I received a telephone call from my friend, whom I had not heard from in a while. She had been lost as in what to do for assistance when she too lost her job around the same time I did. I am trying to help her, though I know it is so close to the holiday right now. She has a 5 year old son, unemployed, and many of her bills are past due or services have been cut off.
This is a deserving family. She had a recent job interview and is praying for the best! She is one who does not take advantage of charity or government assistance programs. I have seen my share of those who live off the government in my line of work!

i am a mother of 5 and we live in Bloomington Indiana i have two boys ages 12 and 6 and 3 girls ages 5, 3 and 2 weeks. for the past 3 years, ever since the father of my kids went to prison for domestic violence i have been struggleing to stay on my feet. although i have been blessed with a loving husband who has taken on the responsibility of my family he has only been able to provide the necessities. This will be the 3rd christmas in a row that we will have to miss due to lack of money, i wasnt able to apply for christmas help this year because my car kept breaking down and leaving me and my kids stranded in town so i have scarcely left my house the last 3 months. then on the way to the hospital to have my baby 2 weeks ago the motor cracked and now im without a vehicle and any money i had saved for christmas must now be spent on more responsibilities. mainly cab fare to go get groceries. im hoping i guess that there is a family out there who desires to adopt a family for christmas or would like to just help a family in need.

My name is Melonie I live in Parker CO. Its now 6 days until Christmas and I am sad to say that i cannot provide christmas this year for my four wonderful kids. I was laid off in June and my Husband does various sidejobs to make ends meet. I have went to various placesto try and get help for christmas and all have no more to give. My kids are amazing and dont deserve not to smile christmas morning. I dont know if anyone out there can help me. I stumbled on this while looking for other places to try. I don't even know where to begin. It would make my year for my 3 kids to just be able to decorate a tree. Its been a rough year as I know it has been for many. We are just trying to make ends meet we do not get financial aid we believe someone out there needs it more. I don't like asking for help because I know that someone out there has it worst. My kids are 16F,13M,9F my 2 oldest understand what we are going through my little girl is waiting for Santa. Hello, my name is Cathy Valentine. I know you must get letters like this all the time. Please, this letter is not long at all, please read the whole thing. Wont take longer than a cup of coffee. I never do this, but here goes. Your almost typical story. After about two years of looking for a job, I found one, one that I loved. I was not making much, but I saw myself being there for a long time. I live in Colorado and worked at a casino in Blackhawk Colorado. It takes about an hour to get there by car. I decided to take the casino bus up everyday so that I may share my car with my room mate. I would get up at 5am every morning to take my room mate to the bus park and ride. From there she would go to work. I would them come home and try and get some sleep. I had to be up by 11am in order to leave the house by 1pm. I would drive to the bus stop park and ride where I dropped my room mate off , where I left my car for my room mate to get home. I would catch the bus to the casino park and ride. From there take yet another bus to Blackhawk. I was always at work 2 hours early, that’s just the way the bus schedule worked out. I did not mind, I truly loved my job and enjoyed being there. I would get there at 4pm and started at 6pm. My room mate would take the bus to the park and ride where the car was parked. She would come home and have to get back up at 3am in order to pick me up at the casino bus stop at 330am. The regular bus had stopped running at this time of the morning. We would get home at 4am. Sleep for an hour and do it all over again. It did take its toll, but we were finally, after 2 years, getting caught up on things. I was at my job for 6 weeks and on my way to work one day and the front end of my car fell to the ground as I was driving down my street. I was just thankful it did not happen on the highway, I may not be writing this story now. I missed work that day, my room mate had to take a cab home from the bus stop, which $20 one way was a lot for us at the time. We priced how much it would have been to fix. Way too much for us to do and still try and keep up on what bills we have. I missed the next two days of work, trying to figure out what to do. I would have been able to walk the mile and a half to the nearest bus stop to get to work, but when I get off in the early morning, there are not buses to get me back home. On the fourth day of no car, we attempted to drive a 1073 25 foot camper to and from the bus stops. I showed up to work and was layed off due to my attendance. I was very upset and pleaded for my job with no avail. I called my room mate at let her know what time to pick me up in the camper. It was October and very cold already. I got off the bus and she and the camper were there. She had shut if off to save of the mega gas it took to run it. When she went to start it, it would not start. After trying to start it for 3 hours in the cold, we called a friend for a ride home. Now we are without transportation and me with no job. My room mate continues to walk a mile and a half to and from the bus stop to get to work everyday. Her hours allow her to catch the bus. She leaves the house when its dark and in single digits and comes home the same way. Needless to say, we are once again getting behind on everything. I had to come to the realization that there was not Christmas this year. I have four girls and 5 grandkids that I cant even buy 1 gift for. I have not even put up a tree yet, so very depressing. I cry everyday, most of the day. I told my family that I was not going to be in town for Christmas to save some embarrassment, for a while anyway. I am literally begging for a little Christmas help. I cant bare to go ahead and have my kids over with no presents under the tree. Anything will help. I can provide proof of my car and being layed off if needed. I know my story is probably not the saddest one you have heard, but it is very sad for me. I almost cant function. I find it hard to watch tv and see all the Christmas commercial. I don’t like to go to the store and see people shopping for their families. Please, please, if there is anything you can do, I would be forever thankful! I would love to let my kids know that Christmas is now back on.
